Managing Quantity Surveyor-Civils & Infrastructure

Currently seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to work a variety of Infrastructure construction projects across the UK. The successful candidate will have relevant experience in a similar discipline such as Civils, Infrastructure, Highways, Rail, Utilities.



Responsibilities

• Responsible for performing risk valuations for cost control.

• Manage a team of Quantity Surveyors in delivering commercial support across projects for transport and local government.

• Interpret the obligations, responsibilities, and liabilities of the parties to contract and provide guidance to the site team.

• Collaborate with project managers to ensure that all commercial staff adhere to site procedures and reporting systems

• Carry out commercial activities to meet the project objectives, including providing advice, guidance, and support to the project teams.

• Responsible for the site QS's and project managers to ensure smooth commercial administration of contracts from start-up through the final account





Essential experience

• Extensive experience working within the construction sector preferably Highways; Construction Law & practise; Commercial Management

• Proficient understanding of contractual obligations for all standard contract forms such as NEC, TSC, and JCT suit of contracts

• HNC/D or Degree in relevant discipline

• Excellent written, numerical, oral communication and negotiating skills

• Working towards RICS/IES CIOB

• Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor/Managing QS

• Strong leadership skills

• Knowledge of risk management



Package includes up to £69,000 basic salary plus company car or car allowance.
